Bella Energy, a company based in Colorado, and Conergy, an international solar provider, have collaborated to supply Kent Denver School in Colorado with a fully financed and engineered 205-kW solar power system.
Sustainability projects that encourage students to rethink how power is generated, distributed and consumed are supported by Kent Denver School. Todd Horn, Kent Denver's head of school, said that this project demonstrates to the students how their small-scale projects can be scaled up to large-scale commercially viable projects.
Bella Energy, RC Energy, and Conergy worked together with Kent Denver School to make this solar project a reality. Head of Conergy US Small Commercial Projects, Matt Kyriakos, said the company is delighted to part of the renewable energy project for the school.
The 205-kW solar power system comprises 1,170 solar panels to generate power for the students. The system helps to prevent more than half a million pounds of carbon dioxide from being emitted into the environment every year. The scholastics efforts of the students at Kent Denver are now partly solar powered due to the school’s commitment as well as the partnership between Conergy and Bella Energy.
