First Phase of Ten-Month Trial for 40-Foot, Zero-Emissions, All-Electric Bus Successful in Gatineau

The first phase of a ten-month trial for a zero-emissions, 40-foot, all-electric bus (which commenced the Summer of 2013) was completed in Gatineau, Quebec and Ottawa, Ontario in December (* note: bus drive is zero-emissions, however in frigid weather bus-heating was supplemented with a small diesel heater integrated into the bus).

Coobus and Consorcio Enter MOU with BYD for Electric Buses

In ceremonies that were a part of Colombia’s Green Public Transportation Initiative this week, Coobus and BYD Company Ltd signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for 260, 12-meter (40-foot), battery-electric buses and a second Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between Consorcio Express and BYD to promote 18-meter (60-foot) pure-electric bus in Colombia.

Pilot Test Completed on New York Transit's BYD Battery-Electric Bus

BYD and the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) have concluded a pilot test on a BYD 40-foot, zero-emissions, battery-electric bus. The test period was from Aug 25th to Oct 25th totaling two months in service and the final report data has been summarized for distribution.
