GE Energy, a company that serves the energy sector, has announced at the EWEA (European Wind Energy Association) 2012 annual event in Copenhagen that it has exceeded 2 GW of capacity by installing its 2.5 wind turbines across the world. This capacity is sufficient to provide clean electricity for nearly 1.4 million houses in Europe.

Waste Management (WM) has unveiled the first Gas-To-Energy power plant in Northern Nevada. The new plant at Lockwood Landfill will use landfill gas to produce 3.2 MW of electricity. The electricity produced is sufficient to power over 1800 houses.

TROPICAL, a developer of fuel-cell power generation systems, has declared that its GreenGen N5, 5 KW natural-gas fuel-cell power systems will be installed by ASPATE, a company that develops large-scale energy projects. These power systems will be installed in 500 new houses that come under the bioclimatic residential construction project of ASPATE.
