Russian RusHydro to Launch Wind and Hydro Plants in Kazakhstan

RusHydro is the largest hydropower company in Russia, and considering the overall installed capacity, it is  second biggest globally. The company is all set to launch wind and hydro facilities in Kazakhstan.

To this effect, the company has signed the memorandum of co-operation with Kazakhstan’s regional government towards building enterprises for renewable energy in the Jambyl location of southern Kazakhstan.

RusHydro will be taking part in building, designing, launching and managing the wind and hydro power plants. The company is displaying its eagerness towards sharing its technologies as well as experience towards developing renewable energy sources as well as the industry falling under the region.

RusHydro is also planning for signing agreements with Kazakhstan’s other regions since the country is enriched with considerable potential in this realm of small hydropower engineering. The company could also be building small hydro power facilities under the Almaty region.
