In the year 2010, China has crossed 8 GW in the production of photovoltaic products and produced nearly half of the total output of the world says, Zhao Yuwen, China Renewable Energy Society’s Director of photovoltaic division. The total global capacity during the period is anticipated to be around 15 to 16 GW.
The country leads the other countries in the field of photovoltaic battery and makes it less complicating for the upstream production industries to sell their products without loss. The National Energy Administration (NEA), of China has set 20 GW as the target to achieve by 2020 and it is considered to be a most cautious estimate by most of the industry analysts.
The upstream companies, which are involved in providing raw materials and intermediary products such as amorphous silicon, silicon and solar battery glasses required for the production of photovoltaic batteries are anticipated to make profit cashing in on the growth. It is anticipated that the total power generation utilizing solar will reach around 10% in 2030 and 20% in 2050 and the anticipated large market is expected to benefit the industry and remain a catalyst for expansion.
