Juhl Wind Acquires Valley View Wind Farm at Minnesota

Juhl Winds has acquired the 22 million Valley View Wind farm that is located at Minnesota. The wind farm is a 10 MW facility that is set up using five Gamesa G87 wind turbines for generating clean, renewable energy to Xcel Energy.

This acquisition is a long-term purchase agreement that involves Juhl Wind and Geo Investors Fund.

The CEO of Juhl winds considered the acquisition of the wind farm as an important milestone in their corporate records. He added that this acquisition has propelled Juhl wind to a higher position amongst independent developers, operators and owners of wind power in North America. The others who are part of this phase are Adams, Grant County, Winona County, Valley View wind projects. The acquisition is part of Juhl Wind’s decision to add to their renewable assets. Juhl Winds is also involved in development projects, construction works and the electricity sales that are going on currently. The Valley View wind farm is capable of generating a revenue of 2.1 million. The company has completed 18 wind farm projects so far, it is mainly involved in providing operations management and oversight services to these wind farms.
