The hotel includes a rainwater collection system that helps conserve drinking water and also reduce the runoff from storm water. The captured water is utilized for irrigating the landscaped terrace. YOTEL New York has acquired renewable energy certificates that support solar and wind power generation. These certificates are equal to 35% of the estimated energy usage of the building for a period of two years.
