SynapSense(TM) Corporation, a leading provider of wireless instrumentation solutions, today introduced SynapSoft(TM) 4.0 featuring LiveImaging(TM) that provides the world's first real-time images of data center conditions for optimizing cooling, power and operational efficiencies. The SynapSoft 4.0 solution was unveiled at the Uptime Institute's Symposium 2008 being held this week in Orlando, Fla.
SynapSoft 4.0 offers data center operators unparalleled levels of visibility and iterative management capabilities for aligning data center operations, energy efficiency and capacity planning. The SynapSense solution with LiveImaging provides real-time data center environmental data and images including thermal, humidity and pressure differential mapping. This allows customers to literally see hot spots and overcooled zones where cooling inefficiencies are occurring and re-direct airflow to optimize operations.
Additionally, SynapSense uses the solution to compile complete assessments of data center operations for customers, providing them with a baseline of information that can be analyzed to fine-tune cooling and information technology (IT) loads moving forward.

Also featuring 24-hour monitoring, a global operations view and a sophisticated alert and alarm system, the complete solution notifies data center operators when conditions are deteriorating and adjustments can be made.
SynapSoft 4.0 with LiveImaging is now available to enterprise customers, and SynapSense will provide additional software advancements this year that will help further improve data center energy efficiency and optimize power management. SynapSense solutions have been deployed in data centers operated by Fortune 500 companies from Wall Street to Silicon Valley.
