The event will focus on the key topics outlined in IMCA’s Recommended Code of Practice on Environmental Sustainability which was launched in May 2021. The programme agenda aims to enlighten, engage, and inspire IMCA members, and other interested stakeholders, through interaction with leading experts to ensure alignment with global practice and thinking.

Nadine Robinson, IMCA’s Technical Adviser - Environmental Sustainability considered the timeliness of the seminar: “The relevance of the seminar is highlighted by the sobering findings of the new Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report released earlier this week confirming that climate change is rapidly intensifying, with some trends now deemed irreversible.

She added: “Our online event will open up the discussion on the environmental impacts of the offshore energy industry and how the Code can help IMCA members to manage environmental and climate-related risks and opportunities associated with offshore marine construction.

A full agenda including a stimulating speaker line-up, interactive sessions and networking will be announced shortly and information on the event can be found at Environmental Sustainability Seminar – IMCA (imca-int.com).
