A series of webinars aimed at uncovering solutions for the challenges facing colleges and universities in meeting campus sustainability goal is planned by EH and E Inc, a leading environmental engineering and consulting firm on green initiatives in higher education.
Colleges and universities across the country are making public commitments to significantly reduce their campus carbon footprint by eliminating wasteful energy consumption. EH&E's four-part "Pathways to Campus Sustainability" Webinar Series directly addresses the issues involved in making good on those commitments.
The seminars run September through October. Each webinar will include one hour of presentations followed by one half-hour of live Q&A. The series features:
- Charting the Path to Campus Sustainability, September 17, 2008, 1:00-2:30 PM ET. Learn about and discuss the most up-to-date tools and knowledge necessary to manage a successful campus sustainability program. - Greenhouse Gas Inventories: Methods and Best Practices, October 1, 2008, 1:00-2:30 PM ET. Discuss the emerging standards, regulatory frameworks, and the pros and cons of various existing calculator tools and methodologies for GHG Inventories. - Writing a Greenhouse Gas Action Plan, October 15, 2008, 1:00-2:30 PM ET. Learn about the tools and templates necessary to develop an effective greenhouse gas reduction plan that can be tailored to your institution, with a particular focus on the Climate Action Plan requirements of the ACUPCC.
