Acme Solar Works provides a range of wind powered products including wind turbines. The Southwest Windpower Whisper wind turbine features a patented side furling angle governor to guard the turbine against high winds by turning the blades and alternator away from the wind. It includes a four bearing spindle, new bushing, field adjustable voltage and upgraded yaw shaft for smooth and efficient operation.
Whisper 1-WHI500-10-48 Wind Turbines
The voltage of the Whisper wind turbine is 24V DC (factory set) and can be adjusted to 12, 36 and 48V DC. The Whisper wind turbines are available in the following models: 1-WH100L-10, 1-WH100M-10-24, 1-WH200L-10, 1-WH200M-20-120, 1-WH200L-20-230, 1-WH-200M-10-24, 1-WH500-10-24, 1-WHI500-10-48, and 1-WHI500-10-230. The higher voltage versions of the 200 and 500 models produce 220V AC, and send it to the transformer that converts it to nominal system voltage. The higher versions are utilized only when there is longer distance between the turbines and batteries. The 100 and 200 model of the Whisper incorporates charge controller except the pump and HV model.
The 1-WHI500-10-48 wind turbine model is a wind generator that is equipped with a voltage controller. Its factory set voltage is 48V. This wind generator’s rotor diameter is 15ft and its start up speed is 7.1mph. It has the capacity to provide a rated power of 3,000W at a speed of 24mph. The capacity of the voltage controller is 48V. Other features of the Whisper wind turbines include battery/turbine shunt isolation, heat sink, rectified phases, diversion-powered fan and easy access block connectors used for battery and turbine wires.
