Versatec Series Water Source Heat Pumps with Electromechanical Controls

Water Furnace manufactures the Versatec Series water source heat pump, which is available in VL group meant for water source heat pump applications and in VX group meant for closed loop applications. It is available in 11 horizontal models and 10 vertical models. This heat pump uses PSC blower motors and R-22 refrigerant.

Versatec Series Water Source Heat Pump

The Versatec Series water source heat pump incorporates electromechanical controls to help in easy installation and service. Its cabinet is made of galvanized steel for corrosion resistance. There is an access panel separately placed below the air coil for accessing the compressor compartment. With the help of removable access panels, fixed in the rear and front of the unit, all internal components can be easily accessed and serviced. The control box can be accessed through a separate panel and it houses electrical controls including a compressor contactor, compressor control module, 75-VA transformer and a fan relay.

The microprocessor board is designed for controlling the system and outputs for faults, status modes and diagnostics. The V012 horizontal water source heat pump has a liquid flow of 2.0gpm and an air flow of 300cfm. It is available in water loop heat pump, ground water heat pump and ground loop heat pump versions. The V012 water loop heat pump version has a heating capacity of 16,700 BTUH and a cooling capacity of 11,500 BTUH. It has 11.2 EER and 3.9 COP.
