The New Englander wind power system features a wireless remote system to facilitate users to monitor and control the system conveniently. The wireless system features two-way interface facility. The inverter used in the wind system is a 12/240 volt AC inverter from Aerostar. The inverter feed the power to the utility grid, if the wind system produces more power than what is required.
The wind system features electronic stall regulation braking system that is controlled by a redundant relay switch. The New Englander wind power system also features passive yaw control, and a permanent magnet alternator that is slot less and brushless. The cut-in wind speed of the system is 8 miles per hour, with a rated wind speed of 20 miles per hour. The rotor of the wind power system measures 22 feet in diameter and rotates at a speed with 50 to 325 rotation per minute.
