Take Action Solar & Wind installs Hummer wind turbines. These wind turbines have direct drive generator, a low wind startup speed, low starting torque, and higher generating efficiency. The In-Hub generators present in the wind turbine emit low heat and noise and require no maintenance. The slip ring yaw shaft present in the generator does not require cable twisting. The LCD display helps to monitor all activities of the wind turbine. It provides auto control protection from short circuit, overheating, overcharging, and over discharging. The off grid wind turbines consists of charger and unloading system, and wind-solar hybrid control system.
The 10kW wind turbine has a rated output power of 10kW and a maximum output power of 15kW. It has a charge voltage of 300V DC and an output voltage ranging from 110V to 380V. The rotor consists of three blades made of glass fiber reinforced plastic. The blade has a diameter of 8m. The start-up wind speed is 3m/s, and the rated wind speed is 10m/s. The generator with its ‘In-Hub’ technology does not require any maintenance, and helps to improve blade inertia and reduce heat emission. The wind turbine can be mounted on a monopole tower with a height of 98.4 feet and 132 feet.
