DOMINANT introduces a new hot InGaN SpiceLED series, the SSx-HLD-xxx. The devices of this LED series are able to withstand a high operating temperature of up to 110°C setting a benchmark for similar competitor’s products.
This miniature LED series use an industrial standard 0603 (S-Spice) package outline with a package height of only 0.6mm! Its small, efficient and highly reliable design has a superb wide viewing angle of 160° with enhanced thermal dissipation capability via its copper base. This SpiceLED package shows proof for an exemplary integration of a copper lead frame and a high temperature resistant epoxy resin encapsulation enabling this LED series to be driven at such high ambient temperature conditions.
SSx-HLD-xxx is available in blue and true green color. It provides an 180mcd typical luminous intensity in blue and 450mcd typical in true green at 20mA.
SpiceLEDs are not only spicing up the solutions for interior lighting in automobiles but also setting the trend for key-pad illumination of PDAs, compact back-lighting applications, consumer appliances, office-, audio- and video-equipment.
