The solar array used as an energy source consists of solar panels. It produces energy depending on the size and number of solar panels. The wind generator generates electricity by converting wind energy. With the higher wind speed, more electricity is generated.
The electricity generated by the energy source is stored in the deep-cycle battery bank. The inverter is utilized to convert DC power into AC power and controls the generator automatically. The full-time residence, Greycliff, Montana is one of the off-grid sample systems offered by Independent Power Systems. It includes sixteen 175W solar modules, SW Plus 5548W and 5500W inverters, one 8.5kW propane generator, sixteen 8G8D sealed gel batteries, and one direct power and water fixed pole mount rack.
