The Skyline 10-01 solar thermal collector is enclosed with a twin-wall polycarbonate plastic glazing in place of glass. It incorporates four fender washers, four mounting EII brackets and eight color-coded tech screws. No mounting rails are included with this solar water heating collector. The Skyline 10-01 is available in a length of 6ft, width of 20in and thickness of 3in. Since this solar hot water collector weighs only 19lbs, it can be easily carried by one person and at the same time can be installed safely on the roof. No welding is required for installing this collector.
The double walled polycarbonate glazing of the Skyline 10-01 solar thermal collector is UV protected. The copper solar absorber plate has a black crystal coating for efficient performance. This collector from SolarRoofs.com is insulated with rigid foam. It has a 1in insulation on the bottom and 1/2in insulation on the side to retain heat. The recommended flow rate of this collector ranges from .20 to .6GPM. The propylene glycol, which has a capacity of .15 gallon, is used as the heat transfer fluid.
