SW100 Solar Modules from Planetary Systems

Planetary Systems supplies a range of solar power and wind power products for residential and commercial applications from different manufacturers, namely Sharp, Mitsubishi and SunWize. The SunWize SW series solar modules are used for different photovoltaic applications that include water pumping, communications, rural electrification, telemetry and battery charging. They can be utilized in multiple-module and single-module installations. Each of the SW series modules comprise 36 solar cells arranged in series to deliver optimum charging power.

SW100 Solar Module

The SW100 solar module is made of single crystalline solar cells, which are enclosed and sealed to the glass in manifold layers of EVA. These solar cells are covered with a white Tedlar film to provide long service life in harsh weather conditions. The glass surface is impact resistant and maximum light can be transmitted through this surface. This module incorporates a junction box that houses all wiring systems including electrical conduit and strain relief connectors. The junction box also contains dual bypass diodes, which ensure reliable operation.

The frames of the SW100 solar module is made of anodized aluminum to stand against wind with a speed of 110mph and gusts with speed of 133mph. The rated power of this module is 100W and the rated voltage and rated current are 16.7V and 6A, respectively. This solar module’s open circuit voltage is 21V and short circuit voltage is 6.7A. It measures 56.93 x 25.43 inches and weighs 26 pounds.
