Sunex Solar Hot Water Systems from Sierra Solar Systems

Sierra Solar Systems provides different models of solar hot water systems. The Sunex solar hot water system is a closed loop system that has the capacity to provide hot water for a maximum number of five people during summer. This solar hot water system can also be used as a preheater for conventional water heaters during other seasons. The Sunex solar hot water system comprises three units that include a storage tank, solar collector and heat transfer fluid control/pump. This solar hot water system uses an antifreeze solution such as propylene glycol as its heat transfer fluid. The solar collector of the Sunex solar hot water system functions by transferring the heat from sun to the heat transfer fluid that flows through the collector absorber. The fluid heat is eventually transferred to the storage tank with the help of a double wall heat exchanger.

Sunex Solar Hot Water System

The Sunex solar hot water system has a fluid handling control feature that automatically starts or stops the pump from circulating heat transfer fluid after checking the temperature of storage tank with that of the solar collector. The heat transfer fluid is circulated by the pump through the pipes in the solar hot water system. This solar hot water system from Sierra Solar Systems is available with different components such as check valves, drain valves, a Grundfos circulation pump, sensors, storage tank with electric element and heat exchanger, pressure gauge, thermometers and L brackets.
