United Solar Ovonic offers a range of solar laminates such as the Uni-Solar PVL-124 laminate. This solar laminate features a potted terminal housing assembly with quick connect terminals and output cables. The solar laminate is suitable for installation on roofs with a slope range of 3 to 60 degrees. This photovoltaic laminate has the ability to operate both in low light and high temperature conditions.
The Uni-Solar PVL-124 PV laminate consists of 20 triple-junction solar cells that are connected in series. The cells used in this solar laminate are amorphous silicon solar cells that each measure 356 x 239mm. The laminate features adhesive backing that allows for easy installation. This laminate has an ethylene propylene copolymer adhesive, included with a microbial inhibitor. This photovoltaic laminate, provided by United Solar Ovonic, also includes bypass diodes that make it more tolerant to shadows. These bypass diodes are connected across each cells. The solar cells are encapsulated in ETFE polymer that has high light transmissive characteristics.
The Uni-Solar PVL-124 solar laminate has a rated peak power of 124 watts, with tolerance rate of +/-5 per cent. Under standard test conditions, this PV laminate demonstrates an open circuit voltage of 42.0 volts and short circuit current of 5.1 amperes. The maximum power voltage of this solar laminate is 30.0 volts, while the maximum power current is 4.13 amperes. This photovoltaic solar laminate measures 5007mm in length, 394mm in width and 4mm in depth. The Uni-Solar PVL-124 solar laminate weighs seven kilograms.
