Solar energy projects developer REgeneration Finance, LLC, has established a joint venture agreement with integrated photovoltaic company Silfab S.p.A. Under the terms of the agreement, REgeneration Finance and a subsidiary of Silfab named Silfab USA LLC entered into a collaborative agreement, wherein Silfab USA will offer technical expertise to the former. The agreement also involves Silfab providing capital investment for an affiliate of REgeneration Finance.
The CEO of REgeneration Finance Lorrie Friedman commented that the funds will be utilized for expanding its program of structuring and financing utility and commercial-scale solar power projects. REgeneration Finance is actively engaged in developing projects for universities, municipalities, schools and major corporations.
Friedman added that the founders of Silfab Sino-American-Silicon Products Inc., Pan Asia Solar Ltd. and Franco Traverso have a successful track record of developing solar energy companies. Currently, Silfab has more than 60 MW capacity projects of utility scale under development in important markets of southern Europe.
