Sanyo Aims to Achieve 100 Billion Yen from Sales of Lithium-Ion Batteries

Sanyo Electric aspires to achieve a sales figure of 100 billion yen by the year 2015 based on lithium ion batteries that store the electricity produced from solar energy on a large scale basis. According to Seiichiro Sano, President of Sanyo, at a news conference in Kasai, Hyogo Prefecture, their goal was to achieve business growth, and simultaneously contribute to the betterment of the environment.

Bureau Veritas Chosen as DCBO for NextEra’s Genesis Solar Energy Facility

Bureau Veritas has been selected to function as Delegate Chief Building Official (DCBO) for NextEra’s Genesis Solar Energy Project located in the Riverside County of California. Bureau Veritas, in its role as DCBO, would provide code inspection services and plan reviews for the time period of 30 months, when the facility is being designed and constructed.
