New Project to Address Climate Change Impacts on Food Security and Ecosystems in Eastern Africa

Researchers at the University of York will take part in a new research and development project called the Climate Change Impacts on Ecosystem Services and Food Security in Eastern Africa (CHIESA) in order to explore the effects of climate change in Jimma Highlands in Ethiopia, Taita Hills in Kenya, and Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.

The Volvo Group, a provider of sustainable transport solutions, has hosted two seminars - "Mobility and Quality of Life in Megacities" and "Corporate Climate Summit 2012" in its efforts to encourage and raise awareness about sustainable solutions for reducing the environmental footprint. These seminars were held in Miami during the Volvo Ocean Race stopover.
