Faith Lutheran School Installs 1.11-MW Solar Array Featuring SolarWorld Panels

Faith Lutheran Middle School & High School, the largest private school in Nevada, is now home to the state’s largest school-based solar array. The 1.11-megawatt system, unveiled at the school’s 39-acre Las Vegas campus this fall, features more than 4,000 solar panels from SolarWorld, the largest U.S. solar manufacturer for more than 35 years.

Climate Change behind Decline in Wind Speeds at Inland Sites

Cobalt-Based Electrolyte Increases Efficiency of Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells

Photovoltaics continues to be an expensive technology. Dye-based solar cells may represent a more cost-effective alternative to traditional solar cells. In these cells, a dye is used in place of a semiconductor to trap the light. Tandem cells consisting of both a conventional n-type and an “inverse” p-type dye-sensitized solar cell seem to be especially promising.
