Intel Corporation said today it will purchase more than 1.3 billion kilowatt hours a year of renewable energy certificates as part of a multi-faceted approach to reduce its impact on the environment, making Intel the single-largest corporate purchaser of green power in the United States, according to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

NanoDynamics Develops Air Monitor System for Toxin Detection

NanoDynamics subsidiary ND Life Sciences announced its receipt of a two-year $350,000 Phase II SBIR contract from the National Institute of Environmental Health Services (NIEHS). The contract, which runs through August 2008, is funding a continued joint initiative with Pittsburgh-based ICx Agentase in the optimization and scale-up of an air monitor system to detect trace-level toxins.
