Kestrel Wind Turbines offers the Kestrel e300i 1 kW wind turbine. This wind turbine is available in 12, 24, 48, 110 and 200 VDC power out put ranges.
The e300i is a small sized, low torque wind turbine and produces power even at low level wind speeds. This wind turbine incorporates an upwind type of rotor with three full-aerofoil blades made of molded glass fibre and covers a swept area of 3.0 m.
Kestrel e300i 1 kW Wind Turbine
The e300i 1 kW wind turbine utilizes a PM 12ph Polyphase brushless permanent magnet generator. For speed control during high velocity wind conditions beyond 750 rpm this wind turbine incorporates a passive blade pitching. The Kestrel e300i 1 kW wind turbine produces the indicated 1 kW out put at 11 m/s wind speed with 650 rpm blade rotation. The cut in wind speed of this wind turbine is 2.5 m/s. The total weight of this wind turbine is 75 kg. This wind turbine incorporates an IP55 type of protection to protect the wind turbine from moisture and dust.
The Kestrel e300i 1 kW wind turbine is utilized for applications such as powering water pumps, grid connection, resistance heating for use in electrical appliances at home or space heating and to boost energy efficiency in a mixture of electrical systems.
