SG Biofuels has appointed Jeff (J.D.) Davids as its new Chief Financial Officer and Eric Mathur as the company’s new Vice President in charge of Molecular Agronomics & Scientific Affairs. SG Biofuels is an agricultural biotechnology firm that specializes in developing Jatropha as a sustainable, low-cost source of oil.
Eric will direct a considerable expansion of the research operations of SG Biofuels and drive the commercialization process of Jatropha as a viable renewable energy crop. Jeff will be in charge of all the financing and accounting activities for the company.
Previously, Eric worked with Synthetic Genomics, Inc. (SGI) as Vice President of Agricultural Solutions, where he created a laboratory located in La Jolla, California. Eric managed and assembled the environmental microbiology, bioinformatics and plant biotechnology research teams.
Jeff has a 20-year leadership experience in business development, strategic planning, operations, finance and accounting.
SG Biofuels, by means of its JMax Jatropha Optimization Platform offers plantation developers and research agencies access to one of the most profitable and highest yielding Jatropha crops in the world.
