This grid connected PV power system includes PV modules, a DC to AC power conversion instrument, DC wiring, and protection for DC and AC over current, protection for lightening, all the mounting components and mechanical support. This all inclusive package is suitable for residential grid-connected applications.
The components utilized in the module are precisely made for flawless integration and increased performance. The MyGen system is offered in five types of packages ranging from1440 W STC to 5040 W STC. The PV mounting utilized in this package is rafter secured for structural conformity with all types building construction codes.
Kyocera's MyGen System
The MyGen 5040 package includes 28 numbers of KD180GX-LP solar collector and a 4800 inverter offering 5040 W. The module used in the package has a length x width x depth dimension of 1341 mm x 990 mm x 36 mm and weighs 16.5 kg. The solar module incorporates 48 multicrystalline solar cells connected in series and securely packed in rugged extruded aluminum and tempered glass package. The IP65 junction box incorporated in the module has a length x width x depth dimension of 100 mm x 108 mm x 15 mm. The solar modules offer a maximum power of 180 W, a maximum power voltage of 23.6 V, a maximum power current of 7.63 A, an open circuit voltage of 29.5 V, a short circuit current of 8.35 A and offers a maximum system voltage of 600 V. This module operates in temperature ranging from -40 to +90ºC.
The MyGen 5040 package meets the 2008 National Electrical Code (NEC-2008), IEEE STD 929-2000, UL 1741 and ICBO 2000 international building code.
