Ascent Solar Technologies Debuts EnerPlex Solar Assisted Battery Case in North Amercia

Ascent Solar Technologies, a provider of advanced flexible thin-film photovoltaic modules, has reported the retail debut of its EnerPlex solar assisted battery case for use in iPhone 4 and 4S through its distributor, CommXPERTS. The EnerPlex will be available in the US and in all the regions of North America.

CommXPERTS now offers the EnerPlex cases online through its website, www.iPhoneSolarCharger.com. The cases will soon be available at www.amazon.com.

The EnerPlex for iPhone 4 and 4S exploits Ascent Solar Technologies’ ultra-light, flexible thin-film solar panels and allows iPhone 4 and 4S users to extend their iPhone usage time by providing a supplementary charging option besides traditional charging techniques.

The highly customizable form factor of Ascent Solar Technologies’ CIGS solar cells facilitate the EnerPlex case for iPhone, enabling the integration of solar technology into the ultra-thin and ultra-light solar-enabled iPhone case available in the marketplace. The EnerPlex case in combination with an ultra-thin lithium-ion battery offers more hours of talk, web and audio time for iPhone 4 and 4S users.

Victor Lee, President and Chief Executive Officer at Ascent Solar Technologies, stated that the company is happy to facilitate consumers to experience the revolutionary features of its award-winning CIGS solar technology via a product that adds value to one of the most renowned consumer electronics in history. The company wants to roll out a variety of EnerPlex solutions for a broad range of consumer products such as Apple’s iPhone 5.
