Envision Solar International today have announced the completion of the world's first fully autonomous, mobile, renewable, electric charging station, and is now ready for shipping.

The EV ARC™ is a solar charging station that requires no foundation making it easy to install and completely mobile.

The EV ARC™is designed to fit inside one standard parking space and is ADA compliant. The EV ARC™offers chargin capabilities in the evening as well as the daytime using an on board battery storage system.

“EV ARC™ is a paradigm shifting technology product which should appeal to anyone who is interested in rolling out EV chargers,” said Desmond Wheatley, President and CEO of Envision Solar. “The fact that these units are installed in minutes and can be moved without disrupting the host site makes EV Charger installation painless and available to anyone for the first time. They are very attractive and act as a billboard for sustainability. This product has a great deal of appeal and the pre-release interest has been very encouraging.”

Engineered in the United States, the EV ARC™ can generate up to 16 kWhrs a day that can be stored and used within the 22 kWhr on board battery storage.

EnvisionTrak™ enables the solar array to follow the sun, generating 18 to 25 percent more electricity than a conventional fixed array allows The EV ARC™to enhance its clean solar electrical generation.

“One of the main prerequisites to mass adoption of electric vehicles is having broadly dispersed and rapidly deployed charging stations,” said Wheatley. “The EV ARC is ideal for any entity looking for rapid, hassle-free deployments of a charging infrastructure without all the challenges associated with conventional units. The fact that the energy is clean and renewable unlike 75 percent of America’s grid supplied electricity is important too. EV ARC™ makes EVs truly emissions free. It changes the deployment story and further advances us to a day when range anxiety is a thing of the past.”

This past year has seen a major improvment in deployments of electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE).  This acceleration is a direct result of developments in the market for plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs).
