Major Internet Technology Company Places Order for Envision Solar’s EV Charging System

Envision Solar International, Inc., ("Envision Solar," or the "Company"), the leading renewable energy Media and Branding product company, announced today that it has received a new order for its fully autonomous, fully mobile, fully renewable Electric Vehicle Charging system from a prominent and well known global internet technology company. The customer has placed the first of potentially multiple orders for EV ARC™.

The EV ARC™ is a cost-effective, easy-to-install, standalone solar charging station that requires no foundation, no trenching, no building permit and no grid connection. This order will allow the customer an opportunity to validate the EV ARC™ system's effectiveness before placing additional orders in the future. EV ARC™ units are currently operating flawlessly in other locations and validation with this customer is expected to be no different.

Desmond Wheatley, CEO of Envision Solar, stated, "We are very pleased to receive an initial order from a leading global technology company. After evaluating solutions from many vendors, the customer selected our EV ARCs because they are the only transportable, fully standalone solar powered chargers available today. The customer has many campuses and the EV ARC's portability and rapid deployability makes it a perfect fit for their considerable expansion plans around electrified transportation. We look forward to this paving the way for adoption of our innovative solar charging products at other Silicon Valley based companies."

Invented, engineered and manufactured in the United States, the EV ARC™ fits inside a standard parking space and generates approximately 16 kWhrs per day that are stored and ready for use in the 22 kWh on board battery storage. The system's clean solar electrical generation is enhanced by EnvisionTrak™ which enables the solar array to follow the sun, generating 18 to 25 percent more electricity than a conventional fixed array.

The past year has seen a major uptick in deployments of electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE). This acceleration is a direct result of developments in the market for plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs): According to a new report from Pike Research, a part of Navigant's Energy Practice, the EVSE market will expand steadily, as well. Unit sales of EVSE will rise from under 200,000 in 2012 to 3.8 million in 2020. By 2020, the study concludes, 11.4 million EV charging stations will be in operation worldwide.
