Claire Perry O’Neill served as UK Minister of State for Energy and Clean Growth and spearheaded the UK’s Clean Growth and Green Finance Strategies. Claire was the COP26 President-Designate and now co-chairs the global Imperatives Advisory Board at the World Business Council for Sustainable Development. Regarding her appointment, Claire said, “At a time where more than 90% of companies are still unable to measure their emissions with depth and accuracy, I am delighted to join Terrascope’s Sustainability Advisory Council. Large companies must lead the climate transition, but they cannot do it without reliable and actionable emissions data — especially across the supply chain. Terrascope’s smart carbon measurement and management platform holds the key to unlocking meaningful decarbonisation by identifying emission hotspots and pinpointing the biggest areas of impact.”

With the UK pledging to cut carbon emissions to net zero by 2050 and aiming for all electricity to come from green sources by 2035, O’Neill’s appointment and targeted expertise underscores Terrascope’s commitment to empower enterprises to keep in line with the Paris Agreement goal of limiting global warming to 1.5 °C.

Karen Coyne is a global leader in ESG and enterprise risk management, former Vice-President and Global Head of Environment at Swiss-based global healthcare company Novartis, and an industry veteran who has been working for 30 years at the intersection of environment, ESG, enterprise risk management, and business. Throughout her career, Karen has led and mentored global teams to successfully navigate ESG issues in dynamic, multifaceted business and stakeholder environments. Regarding her appointment, Karen said, “I am thrilled to join a group of passionate individuals united by the same mission to tackle the global net zero challenge. Corporate responsibility is critical to driving decarbonisation across all sectors of our global economy, and I look forward to collaborating with Terrascope to provide best-in-class guidance for enterprises to deliver strong climate action.”

Mari Kogiso is the co-founder and CEO of SDG Impact Japan. A leader in impact investing with a background in sustainable finance and social entrepreneurship, Mari co-founded SDG Impact Japan in 2021 and developed the ESG engagement fund. Mari has held prominent positions at the World Bank and Mitsubishi Corporation. Regarding her appointment, Mari said, “Companies that don't measure emissions accurately are unable to effectively reduce them. Carbon measurement and management capabilities such as the ones offered by the Terrascope platform are key to achieving a more sustainable future, as they enable large enterprises to set realistic carbon reduction targets and drive tangible progress in the journey to net zero.”

A Global Ambition to Build a Credible Pathway to Net Zero

For Terrascope, this marks another important milestone in its fast growth trajectory and is a testament to the relevance of the climate tech venture’s mission to drive decarbonisation at scale. By combining data science, machine learning and deep sustainability expertise, Terrascope provides a SaaS offering packed with carbon measurement, emissions insights, and digital tools. The platform enables enterprises to measure Scope 3 emissions accurately and comprehensively across their value chain and provides data-driven guidance on the most impactful actions to achieve decarbonisation and net zero goals.

“We are privileged to count on such distinguished leaders in our newly created Sustainability Advisory Council. Their wealth of experience and expertise will be instrumental in maturing our offering and providing our customers – enterprises with global operations and complex supply chains – with the best guidance and support for their decarbonisation journey. We look forward to leveraging the Council’s extensive leadership experience in the industry to strengthen partnerships, cultivate strategic alliances, and expand our global reach,” concluded Maya Hari, CEO of Terrascope.
