The pocket wind meter features data hold function, inbuilt backlight, and sure grip hard case. The hard case helps to protect buttons, display and the impeller. The wind meter can be stored in ambient temperature ranging from -20 to +80 degrees Celsius, while the operating temperature ranges from -15 to +50 degrees Celsius.
Kestrel 1000 Pocket Wind Meter
The Kestrel 1000 pocket wind meter is sealed with an IP67 rated electronics enclosure. The pocket wind meter is water resistant and floats in water. The wind meter shuts down automatically, if it is not used for more than 30 minutes. The wind meter provides wind readings in various units that are meters per second, miles per hour, knots, kilometers per hour, and feet per minute. The pocket wind meter is featured with a reflective LCD that shows 0.4-inch high digits.
The Kestrel 1000 pocket wind meter can measure wind speed in the range from 0.3 to 60 meters per second. The wind speed measuring device is operated by using two sealed tactile buttons made of rubber. This wind device, provided by Neutral Existence, comes with CR2032 coil cell battery that can be replaced. The typical life of the battery is 400 hours. The dimensions of the pocket wind meter are 4.8 x 1.7 x 0.6 inches.
