Kestrel e150 Wind Turbines Generate Small Scale Renewable Energy Output

Home & Mobile Energy installs Kestrel wind turbines. The company installs ‘e’ series of wind turbines from Kestrel Wind Turbine. The ‘e’ series has a range of wind turbines, namely, e150, e220, e300i, and e400i.

Kestrel e150 Wind Turbine

The e150 wind turbine is a smaller wind turbine, and is designed for small scale renewable energy output. The cut-in speed of the wind turbine is low and it helps to generate continuous output of electricity. This small wind turbine has a rated output of 600W and a maximum power output of 650W at 14m/s.  The rated wind speed is 13m/s, and the cut-in wind speed is 2.8m/s.  The generator has a permanent magnet and axial flux brushless motor. The rotor has six blades made of fibre glass, which protect the blades against damage caused by dust and moisture. The diameter of the rotor measures 1.5m.

The e150 wind turbine is mounted on a tower with a height ranging from 9 to 15m and the type of the tower is scissor or guyed tower. The wind turbine has overspeed protection rotor turbulence and has a charge or dump controller type.  The rotor turbulence helps the turbine to work without noise.  The wind turbine conforms to the IEC standards and adheres to the provisions for small wind turbines in IEC61400-2 directives.
