First Renewable Fuel Dealer’s Group Organized by DMC Green

DMC Green has organized its first renewable/alternative fuel dealer’s group to support the increasing number of its fuel program dealers currently operating in California. These dealers, under the DMC Green brand offer boidiesel, ethanol and electric car charging besides offering its important oil company fuel brands.

The DMC Green Dealer’s Group was launched in Sacramento on 6 January, 2010. The open forum meetings will take place four times every year. The forum brought DMC Green’s research support teams together to provide support to the existing gas station dealer-owners who have bought the turn-key DMC Green renewable fuel installation package.

An increasing number of dealers are on the look out for fresh opportunities that will enable them to incorporate the DMC program into other locations as a result of their initial success with the DMC Green fuel program in the year 2009. Robert Takhar, owner of Robert’s ARCO in Woodland, remarked that the successful partnership with DMC has surpassed ARCO’s expectations. Increase in vehicle traffic has led to the increase of ARCO’s sales in its AM/PM convenience store and its fuel sales have also increased.

A working discussion round-table provided by the DMC Green Dealer’s Group enables dealers to acquaint themselves with information about the regulatory changes and the fast-growing green fuel market. This discussion also permits dealers to share experiences with their peer group members. Andy McCargar, Director of Market Development for DMC Green, remarked that working discussion round-table meetings will help the dealers to explore various methods to increase their profitability through market research.

Jasvir Rana, owner of Sunrise Shell in Rancho Cordova, CA, remarked that the fuel sales of DMC Green have enhanced the existing petroleum fuel sales of Sunrise Shell. Sunrise Shell’s biodiesel sales of less than 20 percent have been converted from the company’s current diesel customers. Additional traffic according to Rana has contributed to increased sales in convenience stores.

About thirty extra contracted DMC Green dealers will join the leading-edge DMC Green fuel dealers. These additional DMC Green dealers are currently being permitted across the State of California.
