PowerGate Plus 1MW Solar PV Inverters from SatCon

SatCon supplies a range of solar PV inverters such as PowerGate Plus and Solstice. The PowerGate Plus solar PV inverters are available in 11 models with their power ratings ranging from 30kW to 1MW. The inverters are designed for utility and commercial-scale solar PV systems. The PowerGate Plus inverters are incorporated with Edge MPPT technology and system intelligence to increase the photovoltaic system’s production even in harsh weather conditions.

The PowerGate Plus 1MW solar PV inverter has capabilities to monitor and control the PV system. The modular components of the inverter as well as the dual cooling fans make the inverter’s operation efficient. This off-grid inverter has conformal coating to withstand extreme weather conditions. It is compliant with the Seismic Zone 4 and is equipped with built-in AC and DC disconnect switches and protective cover. The DC two-pole disconnect switch separates the inverter from the PV system for easy maintenance.

The PowerGate Plus 1MW solar PV inverter’s components are enclosed in a space-saving enclosure. The single cabinet provides easy access to all components. With the in-floor cable glands, access to AC and DC cables are made easy. This inverter is designed for outdoor environments. Its cabinet has a height of 107 inches, width of 148 inches and depth of 84 inches, and weighs 12,000lbs. The maximum input voltage of the array is 900V DC and the maximum input current is 2,397A DC. This inverter from SatCon uses three phases and the maximum output current of each phase is 2,178A and the maximum overcurrent protection of each phase is 2,614A.
