LDK Solar, a leading solar wafer manufacturer, announced that it has entered into a solar module supply contract with Oneworld Energy’s subsidiary, COU Solar. LDK Solar will be delivering about 30 MW of solar modules to COU Solar in 2010 as per the contract.
Xiaofeng Peng, Chairman and CEO of LDK Solar, said the company is pleased to expand its association with COU/Oneworld. Peng added that COU/Oneworld has developed ample solar opportunities in Europe and this contract will enable the company to take advantage of these opportunities. Peng said that the contract underscores the company’s commitment to develop its solar module business, particularly with customers in Europe.
Chuck Allen, President and CEO of Oneworld, said the company is extremely delighted to deploy quality modules from LDK Solar on its solar power projects in Europe. Allen added that the company is looking forward to continue the partnership with LDK Solar.
