Eviag AG Offers ev100 Multi Mega-Watt Wind Powers Plants

Eviag AG manufactures different types of multi mega-watt wind powers plants including the ev100 that provides 2.5 mega watt output. The rotor of the wind turbine has three blades. The rotor measures 100 meters in diameter and rotates at a speed of 9.4 to 16.5rpm. The cut-in wind speed of the ev100 wind turbine is 3.5m/s, while the cut-out wind speed is 25m/s.

The ev100 wind turbine features an asynchronous type of generator with slipring to provide continuous electrical connection. The frequency of the generator is 50/60Hz, while the nominal voltage is 690V. The wind power plant is equipped with an indirect DC link converter that has grid side frequency of 50/60Hz. The noise prediction of the wind turbine is 105.1 decibels. The brake system of the ev100 wind turbine has an electric, fail safe pitch that is triple redundant. The wind power plant also features a hydraulic disk type mechanical brake. The pitch backup power for the wind turbine is supplied by the included lithium-ion battery.

The yaw system of the ev100 wind turbine features ball bearing, organic brake lining, hydraulic disc brake, and four-step planetary gearbox. The yaw system consists of four brake calipers and four drives. This yaw system also features asynchronous, three-phase motors along with short circuit rotor. The ev100 wind turbine, offered by Eviag AG, is available with 117, 141 or 160 meter lattice tower.
