Power Up is a manufacturer and distributor of packaged power systems and photovoltaic components. It supplies wind turbines and wind turbine tower kits manufactured by Southwest Windpower. There are three models of tower kits, namely Air RV Tower, Air Tower and Whisper Tower. The Whisper tower kits are guyed tower kits designed for the Whisper H40 and H80 wind turbines.
The Whisper guyed tower kits basically include coupler/top wire set, coupler/ lower wire set, turbine mount coupler, tower pivot coupler, gin pole coupler, gin pole top, gin pilot coupler, tower base, cable thimbles, cable clamps and coupler bolts. They are available in different models according their sizes. These models are: TOW-24-WHI, TOW-30-WHI, TOW-50-WHI, TOW-65-WHI and TOW-80-WHI. The TOW-65-WHI tower kit includes four poles where three poles have a length of 15ft and one pole has a length of 20ft. It also has two gin poles, one is available in 26ft and the other in 6ft.
The 65ft Whisper guyed tower kit includes an auger that has a size of 60 inches. The radius of the guy is 33ft and the anchor hole has a diameter of 2ft and depth of 3ft, and has concrete in 12 inches. This tower kit utilizes the 2.5 inch schedule 40 water pipe or 2.5 inch CQ40 fence pipe. The TOW-65-WHI tower kit includes a tower base, top wire set, turbine mount coupler, gin pole coupler, gin pilot coupler, gin pole top, gin pole top link, three lower wire sets, 20 cable thimbles, 32 coupler bolts and 40 cable clamps.
