WELTEC BIOPOWER, a Vechta-based manufacturer of biogas plant, will start construction on a 2.4 MW biogas plant in Dar¿yno located in the province of Pomerania, Poland in September 2012.
Republic Services, a non-hazardous solid waste operator, has announced that it has entered into an agreement with Clean Energy Renewable Fuels, a supplier of natural gas fuel for transportation in North America, for recovering renewable biomethane from its landfill in Tennessee. Landfill gas is a natural byproduct of decomposition.

The solar power system is expected to generate a total nominal power of 15.2 MW and is located in Rothenburg, Saxony. The installation is being done for KGAL, a provider of innovative financing solutions.

Researchers from the University of Bonn’s Steinmann-Institute for Geology, Mineralogy and Paleontology in conjunction with Israel’s Geological Service and German Research Center for Geosciences have been able to deduce the climatic conditions of the Dead Sea over the last 10,000 years by studying the fossilized pollen present in soil samples obtained by drilling for 21 m in the west bank of the Dead Sea at the oasis Ein Gedi.
