Siemens Receive Orders for Wind Turbines in Poland

For the first time, Siemens has received orders for the supply of wind turbines for sites in Poland. RWE Innogy, the new renewable energy unit established by the German utility RWE, has ordered 33 units from Siemens, each with a capacity of 2.3 megawatts (MW).

Shoppers are Considering the Environment Before Making a Purchase

On the eve of celebrating Earth Day, Wal-Mart issues new consumer research that shows shoppers are considering the environment before making a purchase. Today the retailer announced an adoption rate increase of 66 percent from last year in its sustainability Live Better Index, which has been tracking consumers' decisions to purchase five key eco-friendly products since April 2007.
