United Church of Chapel Hill Installs 84.7kW Solar System

Sunday November 22, members of a church in Chapel Hill, N. C. will dedicate a solar array installed by Yes! Solar Solutions of Cary, N.C. United Church of Chapel Hill raised the funds for the 84.7 kilowatt solar system with a capital campaign. The system will generate approximately 60% of the electricity used by the church and is part of a long-term strategy to meet strategic carbon emissions reduction goals consistent with recommendations by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.

Dominion Energy Announces Acquisition of 80MW Solar Facility in Virginia

Dominion Energy, Inc., a subsidiary of Dominion, today announced the acquisition of an 80-megawatt solar facility in Virginia from project developer Community Energy, Inc. Construction on one of the largest announced solar facilities in the mid-Atlantic region is expected to begin later in 2015. The facility would enter service in fall 2016.

Cube Hydro Partners Gains 100% Ownership Interest in York Haven Hydro Station

Cube Hydro Partners, LLC, a portfolio company of the ISQ Global Infrastructure Fund, has acquired a 100 percent ownership interest in York Haven Hydro Station, a run-of-the-river hydropower facility located in York Haven, Pennsylvania. Totaling 20 megawatts, the facility benefits from favorable hydrology and is expected to produce over 130,000 megawatt-hours of clean electricity per year.
