Geronimo Energy, LLC ("Geronimo") has entered into an agreement to sell the electricity produced by the Apple Blossom Wind Farm ("Apple Blossom"), a 100 megawatt (MW) wind development project located in Huron County, Michigan, to Consumers Energy ("Consumers"). As part of the agreement, Consumers will have a future option to purchase Apple Blossom.

SunPower Chosen by SSVEC to Build 20MW AC Solar PV Power Plant in Arizona

Sulphur Springs Valley Electric Cooperative (SSVEC) and SunPower announced today that SSVEC has signed a 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with SunPower to build a 20-megawatt (AC) solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant in Cochise County, Ariz. Expected to be operational by the end of 2016, the plant is anticipated to generate enough electricity to serve the needs of approximately 4,500 homes, based on estimates provided by the Solar Energy Industries Association.

Ecoplexus Begins Construction Work on Five Solar PV Projects in North Carolina

Ecoplexus Inc., a leading developer of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, today announced that it has closed financing and commenced construction on five solar PV projects totaling 28 megawatts (MW). The projects have signed long-term PPA contracts with Duke Energy Progress and Dominion North Carolina Power and will achieve commercial operations in late 2015.
