Iberdrola Renewables Files Potential Contract to Supply Deerfield Wind Farm Energy to Green Mountain Power

Iberdrola Renewables today announced the filing of a potential 25-year contract to supply Vermont’s largest utility, Green Mountain Power (GMP), with wind energy from the permitted Deerfield Wind Farm. GMP would purchase 30 megawatts (MW) from the wind farm, under the contract submitted today to the Vermont Public Service Board for review.

Kyocera TCL Solar Commences Construction of 23MW Solar Power Plant in Kyoto Prefecture

Kyocera Corporation announced today that Kyocera TCL Solar LLC, its joint venture with Century Tokyo Leasing Corporation (President: Shunichi Asada; herein “Century Tokyo Leasing”), has commenced construction of a 23-megawatt (MW) solar power plant on an abandoned golf course in Kyoto Prefecture, Japan. The plant will generate an estimated 26,312 megawatt hours (MWh) per year — enough electricity to power approximately 8,100 typical local households.
