Rogers Machinery Company Gets Solar Energy System

Solar Nation, Inc. has commissioned and installed a solar electric system having 187.95 kW capacity at a location of Rogers Machinery Company, Inc. in Portland, Oregon. The solar energy system will help stabilize and reduce the energy costs of the manufacturing center.

Comprising 1,074 solar panels spanning 14,499 sq. ft. of roof area, the solar energy system installation will provide around 52.5% of the electrical energy requirements of the 104-employee, 96,000-sq. ft. facility.

Over the period of 25 years, it is forecasted that the solar energy system will reduce 298,283 tons of carbon dioxide emissions, which equals carbon emissions emitted by covering distance of 4,749,727 miles via an automobile or the annual carbon dioxide offset done by more than 149,141 trees.
