At the recent Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNEC), which was held during May 5 – 7, 2010, Momentive Performance Materials displayed its various silicone solutions meant for the solar industry.
One of the solutions on display was the TSE3852 silicone adhesive, an alkoxy cure solution which meets the reliability needs of solar energy field applications. Developed at the Nantong plant of the company in China, this novel material provides good adhesion to various photovoltaic substrates such as plastics, glass and aluminum.
The TSE3852 silicone adhesive finds applications in frame sealing solutions, back sheet and junction box sealing materials, PV module encapsulants, junction box plotting, and sealing materials meant for CPV technology, rail bonding and thin-film technology among others.
