WePower offers the Falcon 5.5 kW vertical axis wind turbine. This wind turbine is designed to offer an annual energy production of 4,818–19,270 kWh and is suitable for residential as well as commercial applications.
The Falcon 5.5kW wind turbine incorporates a rotor measuring four meter and the length of its blade is 4.6 m. The tower height of this wind turbine is 5.5 m and this turbine weighs 985 kg. This vertical axis wind turbine incorporates a permanent magnet direct drive generator with a rated temperature of -40 to 115°C.
The Falcon 5.5kW vertical axis wind turbine provided by WePower has a rated wind speed of 13 m/s and a cut in wind speed of 2.7 m/s. This wind turbine is designed to withstand a maximum wind speed of 49.6 m/s. It is suitable for both off-grid and grid-connected applications. This wind turbine produces an output voltage of 48 V DC during off-grid applications and produces 110-400V DC during grid-connected applications. When this wind turbine is connected to a grid-connected inverter this wind turbine offers an output of 183-304V AC.
The Falcon 5.5kW vertical axis wind turbine incorporates a Governed Speed Style Automatic Aerodynamic Variable Pitch as protection against over speed and an automatic electromagnetic secondary brake. The estimated noise level of this wind turbine is 32 dB at 6.7 m/s speed.
