Camp Grove Wind Farm to Expand

Recently officials of BP Alternative Energy subsidiary Orion Energy have contacted representatives of Marshall County and Stark County in an effort to add 30 to 40 novel wind turbines to the already existing 100 wind turbines in both of these counties. Orion Energy is known for developing Camp Grove Wind Farm LLC.

In the original Camp Grove Wind Farm project, 60 wind turbines having 1.5 MW capacity were installed in Marshall County and 40 such wind turbines in Stark County.

Mike Bigger, the Chairman of County Board, has welcomed the expansion plan of the Camp Grove Wind Farm. Mike further added that Stark County supports and believes in wind energy.

The expansion activity is likely to create new construction jobs and expand the tax base of the two counties. Moreover, the two counties have received cash infusions aggregating around $350,000 for permits.
