Yingli Green Energy Holding Company Limited to Offer Power to PV Power Plant

Photovoltaic manufacturer and solar energy company Yingli Green Energy Holding Company Limited has inked a sales agreement with Spanish EPC company MAESSA TELECOMUNICACIONES, INGENIERIA, INSTALACIONES Y SERVICIOS, S.A. ("MAETEL"), which is part of A.C.S. Group, an infrastructure development company.

As per the agreement, during October 2010 to April 2011, MAETEL will be supplied with 33 MW capacity of PV modules by Yingli Green Energy Holding Company Limited.

The PV modules that will be supplied are likely to be used for a PV solar power facility situated in Curbans, France.

Energy provider GDF SUEZ Group, the owner of the plant, indicates that the 33-MW power plant is likely to generate 43.5 million kWh of renewable energy annually, equal to the electricity usage of around 14,500 households annually. This facility will help reduce around 120,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions each year.
