Inter-Island Solar Supply offers SunSiphon Thermosiphon Unit manufactured by SunEarth. This unit is available in 11 models. Each unit consists of a thermosiphon storage tank and a flat plat solar collector.
SunEarth SunSiphon Thermosiphon Unit
The SunSiphon module is offered in open loop and covered closed loop configurations. The heating system of this module functions on natural action principle and does not use pumps or controls and does not consume power. This module incorporates liquid flat type solar collectors, aluminum anodized dark bronze color frame wall, low-iron annealed glass, polyisocyanurate foam insulation treated with layer fiberglass ring binder insulation, all copper roll formed absorber plate with semi-selective absorber plate coating, EDPM gaskets and silicon seals.
The SunSiphon storage tank integrated in the module is built using of 0.063 in. marine grade 316L stainless steel. The tank is totally MIG welded for strength, acid washed and treated. The storage tank can withstand up to 100ºC temperature and withstand a maximum operating pressure of 150 psi. The heat exchanger cover used in the module is made of 0.047 in. marine grade 316L stainless steel.
The EPGX116-80 model of SunSiphon Thermosiphon Unit offered by Inter-Island Solar Supply incorporates two collectors and its over all width x length x height dimension is 108 in. x 144 in. x 22 in. and weighs 1495 lbs. Its total collector area of this module is 74.66 sq. ft.
